Out of Suffering Comes Song

Out of the shadows of night / The world rolls into light; / It is daybreak everywhere.

Darkness can feel total while it lasts. Dawn rarely asks permission before ret urning anyway. This is hope written as observation rather than pep talk. Longfellow lets the turning of the world carry the reassurance that no night keeps permanent possession of the sky. The image endures because it is simple and cosmic at once. Resilience often begins by remembering that conditions do change.
