Wholeheartedness gives work a different character. Half-presence rarely prod uces either peace or excellence. Ecclesiastes is often sober about limits, which makes this charge more compelling. Given the brief window of a human life, what is before you deserves full strength rather than scattered leftovers. The line holds urgency without frenzy. It asks for earnestness, not noise.
