Psalms 69:24
"Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them."

Commentary

Gill's Exposition

Pour out thine indignation upon them,.... Not a few drops of it only, but a flood of it, sweeping away and bearing down all before it; which was done when

wrath came upon them to the uttermost, in the destruction of their city, temple, and nation, Th1 2:16 ; let thy wrathful anger take hold of them; follow after them, overtake them, seize upon them, and hold them fast, that they may not escape. It denotes the severity of God towards them; the fierceness and fury of his wrath upon them; and that their destruction would be inevitable, and an entire and utter one.
