Gill's Exposition
And he stood over her,.... "At her head", as the Persic version reads: he inclined himself towards her, to see how she did, and to take her by the hand,
and lift her up; and rebuked the fever. The Syriac and Persic versions read, "her fever", that which was upon her; and it left her, as Mark says, "immediately"; as soon as ever he had touched her hand, and rebuked the fever, and bid it be gone: and immediately she arose, and ministered unto them; See Gill on Mat 8:15 .
