Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house,.... Thereby signifying that it was not fit to be inhabited, and there standing to see
it shut up, as follows: and shut up the house seven days: to observe what alteration would be made in that time, and which would sooner be discovered in a house uninhabited.
