Genesis 24:18
"And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink."

Commentary

Gill's Exposition

And she said, drink, my lord,.... Signifying at once that he was welcome to drink what he would, giving him a very honourable title, observing that he had a pretty

large retinue with him of men and camels; so that she took him for some considerable personage: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand; from off her shoulder, and let it rest upon her hand or arm: and gave him drink; let him drink what he would of it.
