and they had kept; though Aben Ezra, as Kimchi observes, refers this to Hezekiah: whose whole heart he directed, or prepared to seek the Lord, &c. by prayer and supplication for everyone of the said persons: though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary: according to the ceremonial law, which the service of the temple required; since, though they were attended with a ceremonial impurity, had a moral purity, and their hearts were right with God.
