It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

And was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,

Commentary

And was drawn from the north,.... Turning northward, and looking that way from t he west to the east: and went forth to Enshemesh; or the fountain of the sun, see Jos 15:7 , and went forth toward Geliloth; called Gilgal, Jos 15:7 , which is over against the going up to Adummim; a place between Jerusalem and Jericho, see Jos 15:7 , and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben; see Jos 15:6 .
