In every city of Judah he made high places to burn incense to other gods, and provoked to anger the Lord, the God of his fathers.

And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.

Commentary

And in every city of Judah he made h igh places to burn incense unto the gods,.... The gods of Damascus, and other idols; this he did to prevent their coming to Jerusalem to worship.
